I would like to wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2008. For those members that I have not had the opportunity to meet, let me take a minute to tell you a little about myself.
I joined The Dunham Company in 2001 as the Residential Property Manager. The Dunham Company currently manages 1000 residential units and is continually growing. I am a licensed Property Manager and have been an active member of the Sioux Falls Multi-Housing Association Education Committee since 2001.
Please note that the location for our monthly meetings will change in January to the Royal Fork. I would like to encourage everyone to attend.
Our legislative committee has been busy meeting with state legislators regarding two important issues.
Eliminating the $15.00 charge for background checks and adding South Dakota to the national background check data base. Currently this data base is available for 42 states.
Raising the $100.00 limit to store items left by residents.
The selection committee has been interviewing, once again for a director. Our goal is to have this finalized by the end of February.
I look forward to serving as your President in 2008. Please feel free to give me a call if you have a concern or suggestion that will help our organization grow and continue to meet the needs of our changing industry.
—Deb
