Angie Stingley, President — ...is the property Manager at Boulder Creek and Boulder Point Townhomes for Midwest Property Services. Angie has 10 years of experience managing various properties in the Sioux Falls area. In 2000, she moved from Iowa to South Dakota. She has enjoyed her time being involved in various organizations such as Sioux Falls Diamonds fast pitch softball, youth basketball and community events. Angie lives with her husband Jeff, son Jacob, daughter Samantha and dog Jack.
 
Rod Fitts, Vice President — ...is currently President of Rod’s Property Management in which he owns and manages several multi-family properties in Sioux Falls, SD.   Rod graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he majored in Marketing & Accounting.  He spent fifteen years with major agricultural companies such as Farmland Industries and Purina Mills.  His various positions included Sales, Marketing Manager, Sales Management and he led several special projects involving mergers and acquisitions.   Rod left the Ag industry in 1998 to pursue other interests which included teaching and professionally recruiting financial executives for various corporations.  Also in 1998, Rod purchased his first rental property in Sioux Falls. The rental business has grown to be a full time business for Rod.
 
Corina Bittner, Treasurer — ...is Regional Manager for Costello Property Management. Corina brings a specialized background that lends itself to serving the company and its residents with experience and professionalism. She has a degree in Associate of Applied Science in Accounting, and is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) (Housing & Urban Development), Continuing Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C4P) (Tax Credit), and has S.T.A.R Certification (Rural Development). Corina is the proud mother of a brilliant and beautiful 14-year-old girl. As a family, they are big movie buffs and enjoy board games and cards. They are active in their church and participate as volunteers in the city’s annual “First Night” celebration.
 
Amy Miller, Secretary — … is the owner of Charisma Property Management, Inc., a Sioux Falls based Property Management Company that serves residents in the Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.  She has over 7 years of experience in the industry and enjoys the day-to-day interaction with her staff, owners and residents.  Amy has been involved in various organizations over the years and is actively involved in her church where she teaches 5th graders how to puppeteer.  Amy and her husband Charles live in Tea and have two children McKenzie, 14 and Samuel, 10.
 
Denise Hanzlik, Past President — ...Multi-Site Manager for Lloyd Property Management, Denise brings over 16 years of property management, customer service, sales, and marketing experience to the Lloyd Companies team. Denise currently supervises the management and maintenance teams of half of Lloyd Property Management’s 3,000+ units and oversees the management of the properties, including operational and financial performance, annual budgets, leasing, marketing, and resident, owner, and client relations. In addition to her responsibilities with Lloyd Companies, Denise is actively involved with the multi-housing community, currently serving as Past President of the South Dakota Multi-Housing Association.  *South Dakota Real Estate Commission (SDREC) Licensed Property Manager *Member, National Assisted Housing Management Association (NAHMA) *2009 President, South Dakota Multi-Housing Association *Recipient, Lloyd Companies Eagle and Golden Eagle Awards
 
Scott Newman, Board Member — ...grew up in Webster, SD and graduated high school in 1989. After spending 3 years in the Air Force where he was stationed in Omaha, NE, he then moved to Rapid City for 3 years and found a job selling wholesale food for Harker’s Foodservice. Harkers moved him to Sioux Falls in 1995, where he bought his first house. When he decided to buy a different house in 2002, he thought he would try renting out his first house. This was a blessing and a curse. He had some great renters who always paid rent on time and never complained for over 2 years. This made being a landlord look easy so he decided to expand and within 2 years had bought four 4-plexs and a 9-plex. He has since been brought down to reality. Scott and his wife Cindy have 2 boys and 2 girls. In 2008, he started his own Farmers Insurance and investment agency. He is a member of the Sertoma Club. In his spare time, he enjoys snowmobiling, classic cars, hunting and working on rental properties.
 
Jeff Brooks, Board Member — ...is a Broker Associate at NAI Sioux Falls. He specializes in the acquisition and disposition of multi-family and investment properties. In addition, he is involved in all aspects of commercial real estate including land, industrial, retail and office. Before joining NAI Sioux Falls in August 2004, Jeff worked as a Regional Property Manager for a large property management company located in Sioux Falls, SD. His duties included over-seeing 450 apartment units across SE South Dakota and NW Iowa, including Tax Credit (Section 42), Rural Development (Section 515), HUD (Section 8 & Section 236) and conventional units. Jeff, a Mitchell, SD native, has received his Assisted Housing Manager (AHM) designation through Quadel Consulting / National Leased Housing Association. This designation denotes proficiency in the occupancy requirements of HUD Subsidized Multifamily Housing. Jeff also has received his Site Compliance Specialist (SCS) designation from The Housing Credit College of Elizabeth Moreland Consulting, Inc. This designation denotes having fulfilled all the necessary requirements, and having successfully demonstrated proficiency in the eligibility requirements of the Low Income Housing Credit Program.
 
Paul Flogstad, Board Member — ...is an Affordable Housing Consultant with the Good Samaritan Society and in that position is responsible for HUD and Rural Development properties in 22 different states. He attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls and has been involved in real estate since 1974 in capacities ranging from sales, construction, project management, residential and commercial appraisal, mortgage consulting, and property management. Paul holds numerous property management designations including COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) CMH (Certified Manager of Housing), CMM (Certified Manager of Maintenance), SBS (Site Based Budgeting Specialist), the RHM designation from the National Center for Housing Management and is also a Certified Section 515 Specialist. He also instructs numerous training courses nationwide, including the Basics of Property Management course for SDMHA. Paul received the Outstanding Educator of the Year 2008 from SDMHA. He is also involved in private consulting and training for multi-family property owners and management companies. Paul and his wife, Lori, have four children and consider themselves lucky to be grandparents to Lindsay, Hannah, Landon, Dylan, and Maggie. He and his wife have also parented over 80 foster children during the past 25 years.
 
Thad Schetnan, Board Member — ...has been active in the apartment rental business for the last 10 years. Thad now builds, owns and manages his properties and manages properties for Byre Apartments. Thad and his wife Kim also own Your Secret Kitchen, a meal preparation business located on the south side of Sioux Falls. Thad grew up on an acreage/farm outside of Garretson, SD. He graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with 5 Associate of Applied Science degrees. After working a few years in Sioux Falls following College, Thad moved to Denver where he worked for Sandvik Coromant for 12 years, his last position being the Productivity Improvement Specialist for the Western part of the United States. He moved back to Sioux Falls In August of 2002. Thad and his wife Kim have 2 daughters, Sydni, 6 and Jadyn 5.
 
Shirley Wieman, Executive Director — Shirley has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Bellevue University, Bellevue, NE. She is a widow with an adult daughter and son-in-law, an adult son, and two grandsons and one step granddaughter. Her background has been in clerical, agriculture, sales, substitute teacher, former realtor, and former owner of rental property. She is a former Toastmaster and has been involved in other non-profit organizations, which included being an officer. She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
