Message From Our President

Well, what a winter we have experienced so far. For the majority of us in the property management world the lack of snow on the ground this time of the year is a pleasant surprise...for a few different reasons!

I am looking forward to a great 2012 and am anxious to work with all of you again in this capacity. My goal as President is to continue leading this Association in the right direction. To take what those before me have accomplished and use that ground work to continue to grow and be influential in many aspects. I see the importance of continuing to work with and strengthen the relationships that have been developed  over the years, not only with the members within the Association but with all of those that have an impact on our industry.

This year you will see a lot of emphasis placed on the legislative issues. There are several things brewing and our intention is to be as prepared as possible in order for our efforts to be effective. We have a strong core committee in place however,  some of these issues are going to require us to step up our efforts and as a result we will be looking to you for additional participation and support. 

Increasing and improving the quality of education is also going to be a focus throughout the year. The Online University is just one way that SDMHA is working toward this goal for you.  We will be tapping into the many resources that NAA has to offer us as members. I am confident that you will be just as anxious and excited as we are about the upcoming seminars and events.

We will continue to work to strengthen communication and will be soliciting your input. We need to hear from you in order to understand what you feel is important so that we can go to work for you on those issues. I can't stress enough how vital your input and participation really is. There is a lot to accomplish this year and it is going to require joint efforts. WE NEED YOU!

Again, I have seen some great and positive changes over the years and am very excited to see what we, TOGETHER, can accomplish in 2012.
